The activities of the Month in the Classroom Kitchen Mencey


The Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey has been a historical reference for decades on the island of Tenerife, regarding the most exquisite and cutting edge cuisine. Leading this gastronomic experience is the executive chef Juan Carlos Clemente and the Mencey Cookery Classroom, a space designed to enjoy a culinary experience.

During the month of March, the Mencey Cookery classroom offers 2 special cooking courses in Tenerife for all food lovers.

Gastronomic hotel in Tenerife

The first, is a special course on the world of mushrooms and will be carried out by chef José Miguel Barrera with the invaluable help of the expert Carmen Delgado.

For the next course, dated on 26th March 2014, the chef Javi Martin will present a special course on ceviche and carpaccio. Guided by the talented chef, you will enjoy and learn the best tricks on how to make ceviche and carpaccio, plus the most delicious dressings.

The course fee is 60€, and some of the recipes that the attendees will learn to prepare, include ceviche de pompano with avocado, beef carpaccio with balsamic dressing and vegetable carpaccio with a dressing of boletus and rosemary.

It is also possible to arrange private courses with the chef, with friends or colleagues. Enjoy a perfect evening learning how to cook traditional Canarian recipes or elaborate dishes while enjoying a beer, wine or a gin and tonic in the best company.
